Una Noche Mas - Μία Nύχτα Aκόμα

Sin poderme agarrar a la vidaΧωρίς να μπορώ να κρατηθώ από τη ζωή
Los años no perdonanΤα χρόνια δε συγχωρούν
Solo te ruego que me desΜόνο σε ικετεύω να μου δώσεις
Que me vuelvas a engañarNα με ξεγελάσεις πάλι
Te maldigo para que no puedas llorarΣε καταριέμαι να μην μπορείς να κλάψεις
Que tu corazon se vuelva piedraΗ καρδιά σου να γίνει πέτρα
Que tu alma pierda su alegriaΗ ψυχή σου να χάσει τη χαρά της
A la vez que mi cuerpo emvejeceΤην ίδια ώρα ενώ το σώμα μου γερνάει
Solo te ruego que me desΜόνο σε ικετεύω να μου δώσεις
Que me vuelvas a engañarΝα με ξεγελάσεις πάλι

Clown In The Moon - Κλόουν Στό Φεγγάρι

My tears are
like the quiet drift

Of petals from
some magic rose;

And all my grief
flows from the rift

Of unremembered skies
and snows.

I think, that
if I touched the earth,

It would crumble;
It is so sad and beautiful,
So tremulously
like a dream.

...........................................

Crazy, I'm crazy for feeling so lonely
I'm crazy, crazy for feeling so blue
I knew you'd love me as long as you wanted
And then someday you'd leave me for somebody new
Worry, why do I let myself worry?
Wondering what in the world did I do?
Crazy for thinking that my love could hold you
I'm crazy for trying and crazy for crying
And I'm crazy for loving you.

Στενοχωριέμαι, γιατί αφήνομαι να στενοχωριέμαι;
Καί ν'αναρωτιέμαι τι στο καλό έκανα λάθος;

Οι Απομείναντες - The Remaining

η Fraulein Ramser,
..........................................
There are still / a few people,/ that their life / is not hell.// There is this little bird with the yellow neck,/ Frauleine Ramser,/ and always the remaining people of the sun,/ those being in love down the sun or the moon.// Look out for them good enough,/ and find them, you poet!/ Write them down carefully,/ for they get fewer and fewer day by day.//They turn fewer...

Oblivion - Λησμονιά

For all you hold,
You are a question,
And your answer
Would sit after
Waiting onto the light,
Having been the bend,
And core and rind.
They (bittersweet) would hide
In their rustling cages,
Full of endearing laughs
And millions of years
Behind them.
As they shake,
They throw their sense
Into oblivion, and as they stretch,
Their oblivion is thrown into sense.
They hide and laugh, unwaiting,
Seeking those who seek.
........................................

A Light Exists In Spring - Το Φως Της Ανοιξης

A light exists in spring
Not present on the year
At any other period.
When March is scarcely here
A color stands abroad
On solitary hills
That science cannot overtake,
But human nature feels.
It waits upon the lawn;
It shows the furthest tree
Upon the furthest slope we know;
It almost speaks to me.
Then, as horizons step,
Or noons report away,
Without the formula of sound,
It passes, and we stay:
A quality of loss
Affecting our content,
As trade had suddenly encroached
Upon a sacrament.
....................................................

Stardust

And now the purple dusk of twilight time/Steals across the meadows of my heart/High up in the sky the little stars climb/Always reminding me that were apart/You wander down the lane and far away/Leaving me a song that will not die/Love is now the stardust of yesterday/The music of the years gone
by/Sometimes I wonder why I spend/The lonely night dreaming of a song/The melody haunts my reverie/And I am once again with you/When our love was new/And each kiss an inspiration/But that was long ago/Now my consolation/Is in the stardust of a song/Beside a garden wall/When stars are bright/You are in my arms/The nightingale tells his fairy tale/A paradise where roses bloom/Though I dream in vain/In my heart it will remain/My stardust melody/The memory of loves refrain...

H Πιό Αψηλή Εντολή - Τhe Commandment

Και ποια είναι η πιο αψηλή εντολή;
Ποια ‘ναι η πιο αντρίκια χαρά;
.................................................
And what is
the most important commandment?
To decline all comforts-gods,countries,
ethics,truths-to stay alone and
start molding yourself,
with your own strength, a world that
does not shame your heart...
What is the most sincere joy?
To undertake all responsibility.

What Is Hell? - Τι Είναι Κόλαση;

What is hell?
I maintain that it is
The suffering
Of being unable
To love
...............................

Don't Give Up - Μήν Εγκαταλείπεις

In this proud land we grew up strong/We were wanted all along/I was taught to fight, taught to win/I never thought I could fail.//No fight left or so it seems/I am a man whose dreams have all deserted/I've changed my face, I've changed my name/But no one wants you when you lose.// Don't give up/cos you have friends/Don't give up/You're not beaten yet/Don't give up/I know you can make it good.//Though I saw it all around/Never thought I could be affected/Thought that we'd be the last to go/It is so strange the way things turn.//
Drove the night toward my home/The place that I was born, on the lakeside/As daylight broke, I saw the earth/The trees had burned down to the ground//Don't give up/You still have us/Don't give up/We don't need much of anything/Don't give up/cause somewhere there's a place/Where we belong.//Rest your head/You worry too much/It's going to be alright/When times get rough/You can fall back on us/Don't give up/Please don't give up//Got to walk out of here/I can't take anymore/Going to stand on that bridge/Keep my eyes down below/Whatever may come/And whatever may go/That river's flowing/That river's flowing.//Moved on to another town/Tried hard to settle down/For every job, so many men/So many men no-one needs.//Don't give up/cause you have friends/Don't give up/You're not the only one/
Don't give up/No reason to be ashamed/Don't give up/You still have us/Don't give up now/We're proud of who you are/Don't give up/You know it's never been easy/Don't give up/cause I believe there's a place/There's a place where we belong...
.........................................................................................................

Της Αγάπης Αιματα - Blood Of Love

.........................................................

The blood of love * has robed me in purple
And unspeakable joys * have covered me in shade
I’ve become corroded * in the south wind of humankind
Mother far away * my Everlasting Rose.

On the open sea * they lay in wait for me
With triple-masted men-of-war * they bombarded me
My sin that I too had * a love of my own
Mother far away * my Everlasting Rose.

Once in July * her large eyes

Half-opened, deep down my entrails * to light up
The virgin life * for a single moment
Mother far away * my Everlasting Rose.

And since that day * the wrath of ages
Has turned on me * shouting out the curse:
“He who saw you, let him live * in blood and stone”
Mother far away * my Everlasting Rose.

Once again I took the shape * of my native country
I grew and flowered * among the stones

And the blood of killers * I redeem with light
Mother far away * my Everlasting Rose.

Tριανταφυλλιά Φωτιά - Feu Rose - Rosy Fire

Pendant que
les fonds publics s'ecoulent

en fetes de fraternite,
il sonne une cloche

de feu rose danse las nuages.
..............................................................

..............................................................................
While public funds leak into fraternity festivities,a bell of rosy fire sounds, through the clouds.

Arthur Rimbaud

Paranoid Eyes (Pink Floyd)

Button your lip. Don't let the shield slip.
Take a fresh grip on your bullet proof mask.
And if they try to break down your disguise with their questions
You can hide, hide, hide,

"I'll tell you what, I'll give you three blacks,
and play you for five
..."
"Ta! You was unlucky there son"
"Time gentleman!"
Behind paranoid eyes.

You put on our brave face and slip over the road for a jar.
Fixing your grin as you casually lean on the bar,
Laughing too loud at the rest of the world
With the boys in the crowd
You hide, hide, hide,
Behind petrified eyes.

You believed in their stories of fame, fortune and glory.
Now you're lost in a haze of alcohol soft middle age
The pie in the sky turned out to be miles too high.
And you hide, hide, hide,
Behind brown and mild eyes.

Eight Year Old Poet - Ποιήτρια Οκτάχρονη

γιά να γεμίσουν έτσι το κενό;
καί ένα νηπιαγωγείο έναν Σαίξπηρ;

On the platform, in Pasternak’s unerased footprints,/ leaving behind your own print,
you stand a moment with me in farewell,/ eight-year-old poet.
I can’t understand your origins/ or from which kind of rain you come.
Created almost in a vacuum, Nika, / you part the rain with a mere glance.
You simply stopped being a child,/ burning, tormenting yourself. / As soon as you learned to stand,
you spat your pacifier into the fire.// A secret little queen,/ you and your crown have grown into one.
Each illness you’ve survived / is a heavy jewel in your tiara./ I fear that you will suddenly shatter,
and the invisible ring / of the freshly forged white-hot crown / will scorch your childish bangs.
A pencil in your fingers is heavier than a scepter; / your notebook has iron pages.
If a chasm opens at your feet, / you have nothing to lose but your childhood.
Might this be our salvation from a lack of poets,/ when children as if from a cliff
leap directly into the poetry-abyss / to fill up the gap? / If elders fear this profession,
children will avenge them. / Will a nursery bring forth a Homer / and kindergarten a Shakespeare?
Children are secret grown-ups. This torments. / All of us are secret children,
and we’ll never grow up completely, / because we fear the children within.
On the platform, in Pasternak’s eternal footprints, / leaving behind your own print,
you sigh a deep moan inside, / eight-year-old poet, // With a burst you skip and run down the platform,
flying with girlish delight, / but when you stumble on your dropped crown / you are no longer a child.
And from the foot-board your eyes call me / into a life where there is no age.
Farewell! It’s too late for me to jump on your train,
Εight-year-old poet.

Colours - Xρώματα

When your face came rising
above my crumpled life,
the only thing I understood at first
was how meager were all my possessions.
But your face cast a peculiar glow
on forests, seas, and rivers,
initiating into the colors of the world
uninitiated me.
I’m so afraid, I’m so afraid,
the unexpected dawn might end,
ending the discoveries, tears, and raptures,
but I refuse to fight this fear.
This fear-I understand-
is love itself. I cherish this fear,
not knowing how to cherish,
I, careless guardian of my love.
This fear has ringed me tightly.
These moments are so brief, I know,
and, for me, the colors will disappear
when once your face has set...

Ένα Ποίημα Tο Λιγότερο - Α Poem At Least

Πόσο ουρανός στεγνός τη νότη της αυγής;

.........................................................................
One Poem,
One poem at least.
What poem,
And what words
To sidle over to your eyes
Without being cut up in two,
To sail through your hair
Without being sea drown,
If you were there to stare at you
Wild roses' petals
My tongue would be emerging,
Jasmine perfumes
My waking bed sheets would be smelling.
A room of sobs,
A breath of May around me and-
How much rain desert can stand
How much morning moisture dry skies can?
One poem at least.

In the marina
Sitting down on my hunkers,
I thought I'd leave a shadow on your forehead.
Words are orphan kids running barefoot,
Thinking of the years where
Waves never will come back to
Horizon's wasteful Aorta, and yet
Voices remote but real I'm writing to you,
On the board's warmth and the wind, look:
One, in the eyelids to quivering shines,
Two, in the window blinds to creaking kisses
As soon as I wake up in a land getting quiet,
A lamb is me on my glimmer of dawn, expecting for
One poem at least.

I'm On Fire

Hey little girl is your daddy home
Did he go away and leave you all alone
I got a bad desire
I'm on fire
Tell me now baby is he good to you
Can he do to you the things that I do
I can take you higher
I'm on fire
Sometimes it's like someone took a knife baby
Edgy and dull and cut a six-inch valley
Through the middle of my soul
At night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet
And a freight train running through the
Middle of my head
Only you can cool my desire
I'm on fire...

Dance Me To The End Of Love

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic 'til I'm gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love

Oh let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in Babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We're both of us beneath our love, we're both of us above
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the children who are asking to be born
Dance me through the curtains that our kisses have outworn
Raise a tent of shelter now, though every thread is torn
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic till I'm gathered safely in
Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove
Dance me to the end of love

........................................................................................
And even if I don't want you telling me a thing
It's because your eyes have already said this,
You come and go, and yet you come again
The same picture of angels in white and black
Because colours escaped high towards dawn,
The same picture of honey-soaked pine and thyme,
Equivalent to thousand words of graphite and cloud,
Because words don't deserve to have colour,
whenever still lake's breath steams on
The old windows of vestal bereavement healer.

You come and go, and yet you come again,
To go once more like a smoke of an ancient flame,
Like a weak star under the name of three numbers and a dash.
You look like a flower with no petals at all,
A rainbow with no flowers at all,
A life with no rainbows at all.

Oh, you sentinel and executioner of my existence
You solitude of mine,
There are times you have no colour at all...

Soldier Of Fortune

I have often told you stories
About the way
I lived the life of a drifter
Waiting for the day
When I'd take your hand
And sing you songs
Then may be you would say
Come lay with me and love me
And I would surely stay
But I feel I'm growing older
And the songs that I have sung
Echo in the distance
Like the sound
Of a windmill goin' round
I guess I'll always be

A soldier of fortune
Many times I've been a traveller
I looked for something new
In days of old
When nights were cold
I wandered without you
But those days I thougt my eyes
Had seen you standing near
Though blindness is confusing
It shows that you're not here
Now I feel I'm growing older
And the songs that I have sung
Echo in the distance
Like the sound
Of a windmill goin' round
I guess I'll always be
A soldier of fortune
Yes, I can hear the sound
Of a windmill goin' round
I guess I'll always be
A soldier of fortune...
