Κάποτε Μου Είπαν - Once They Told Me

Once they told me: "the sky will rise up"!
Will turn the night into day for those sleeping
before the dawn. And only then, the stars
will be there but they'll be unseen,
like emotions reaching out for words and not finding any,
like hands staying with no hug, eyes wet from a memory.
Once they told me: "the sea will fold"!
And wherever we choked once, now kids will play.
Once they told me that the end won't ever be.
Only the outset. The authority of love, as it
penetrates like a spear, the armor of the protected.
The time of revolution is approaching!

Pi

Tiger, monkey, hyena, zebra

And skin deep, a man.

Memories almost forgotten

stitched with bizarre thread.
The lines of your forehead
overcome you, no matter
how strong the wind blows.

The steering wheel is wooden
'cause if it was made of iron
you would have sunk.
Εven the wood rusts
but don't be afraid of the rust.
If you scratch it will gush
the thyme you loved.

Swirling ripples

I discover
hidden stabilities.
I see the roots protrude
from the border.
Before the end of the day
just try

to bare the night.

It don't have a rudder.

The galleon wants hands

if you're human or monkey
feet, if you are tiger, hyena
 or zebra.

..............

A jail in motion
the train for the land of joy
one god, unknown till now
promised me in the end
that horizon will crack,
designating destiny
and not running away,
escaping like a rabbit
from the frontiers of grief.
But in order to do this
he asked for one condition:
the iron and the coal
to cohabitate once again
in the same home.

Οne day in the village
came the tarantula woman
and everybody rushed to see her
Someone threw some bread to her
and others threw stones at her
to save themselves from ugliness

And a child

gave her a red flower, a child
A child asked her

to sing a song, a child

And she said

"Don't ever tell them
how ugly they seem
those who despise you
but stand there staring"

And she said "Don't ever look
the others in the eyes
cause you become a mirror
and they all break you to pieces"

One day in the village came
a wounded angel
they brought him in a cage
and the wild crowd bought tickets
to see his beauty

And a child, a pretty little angel

like a tear, a child
A child asked him

to sing a song, a child

And he said

"If you want to save yourself
from your own beauty
take an axe and a sword
and cut off your wings"

And he said

"Don't ever look
the others in the eyes
cause you become a mirror
and they all break you to pieces"

Modus Vivendi

 .............

Dehydrated dreams
with decent nightmares
and a scene of minimal sorrow
agonizing
like crushed waiting.
And we disconnected
thus from life.
We baptized it livelihood
and we closed it
in the trunks.
And before we know it
we turned the pain to curse.
