Τύμπανο - Drum














Τύμπανο το σώμα

Κεφαλή η καρδιά 

όπως πάλλεται 

το τελευταίο φως 

Πριν να κλειδωσει 

η αστραπή το κύμα 


Για να γεννηθεί η σιωπή 

Ας αντηχησει ο θάνατος 

στα γνωστά αρμυρικια 

Ας χυθεί το κρασί 

απ' τα αγνωστα χείλη 


Στη φορεσιά της λάβας 

Στα υπόγεια δωμάτια 

τα υποτίθεται ασφαλή,

Με τη σκουριά στα μάτια 

της πόρτας τους

Drum is the body

Head is  the heart

while pulsating

the last light

Before lightning 

locks the wave


For silence to be born

Let death resound through

the well-known tamarisk trees

Let the wine be spilled

from unknown lips


On the costume of lava 

Down in basement rooms

the supposedly safe,

With rust in the eyes

of their doors

Φτέρη - Fern

 














Άσφαλτος, σκυρόδεμα 

κι αναίτια μπαλκόνια.


Τόσο στενά πεζοδρόμια 

τόση σπατάλη μετάλλου.


Η δυστοκία του μέλλοντος

είναι δρόμος της Αθήνας.


....


Τώρα η μέρα υποχωρεί 

ασημώνοντας τον ήλιο. 


Σχίζες σπασμένης βροχής 

γδέρνουν τις φλόγες. 


Αλφαδιασμένες σιωπές 

κάνουν προσκλητήριο ζώντων.


....


Στου ταβανιού το εκράν 

η ταινία του Αντονιόνι.


Στο πάπλωμα βορβορύζει 

η γάτα του Σρέντινγκερ.


Κάτω απ τις μπουχάρες 

καιρίζουν αποκόμματα ωρών.


......


Νύχτα. Επτά θρόμβοι ίριδας 

τη συνειδητότητα εμβολίζουν.


Ω, ηχωλαλιά του ωκεανού 

ποιό το τελεσίδικο σου χρώμα;


Θα θελα ξέρεις, να μαι φτέρη 

μα μου φτάνει κι η σιωπή της.

Asphalt, concrete
and useless balconies.

Such narrow sidewalks
so much metal waste.

The hardship of the future
is a street of Athens.

....

Now the day is receding
silvering the sun.

Broken raindrops
scrape the flames.

Leveled silences make 
an invitation to the living.

....

On the screen of the ceiling
it’s Antonioni's film 

On the quilt purring 
it’s Schrödingers cat.

Under the carpets
chips of hours.

......

Night. Seven iris clots
embolize consciousness.

Oh, you echo of the ocean
what is your final color?

I’d alike, you know, to be a fern
but its silence is yet enough for me.
