Πρώτα πιστεύαν οι από κει
πώς εδώ ζούσε η Ελευθερία
και οι από δω πως από κει
υπήρχε η τάξη κι η εργασία.
Τώρα διαπίστωσαν μαζί
ότι το τείχος δεν έπρεπε να γκρεμιστεί
γιατί ήταν άξιο μόνο του να συντηρεί
και τάξη και αξιοπρέπεια κι ελευθερία
το βράδυ μες στην ονειρική τους φαντασία.
Τι κρίμα που γκρεμίστηκε το τείχος
Και τώρα πώς να ζεσταθεί
Μες στην καρδιά το ψύχος;
......................
First the people from the other side
believed that here lived Freedom
and the people here that over there
existed order and employment.
Now both sides realized that
the wall shouldn't have been crumbled
'cause it was able by itself to maintain
orderliness and dignity and freedom
at night in their dreamy imagination.
What a pity the wall was shattered
And now how is it possible warming up
the coldness inside their hearts?
