Κανένα, μα κανένα φέρρυ;

.....................

..................

Shore to shore looks.
Raise your eyelashes:
On the one side - the pine stands
On the other - the grass shines.

Their shared river.
But they are family:
Bridge as a long arm,
Stretched between them.

Why, my boy ...
This is so frustrating, right! ..
Between me and you
No,there's no ferry
?

.....................

A big young bareheaded woman
in an apron

Her hair slicked back standing
on the street

One stockinged foot toeing
the sidewalk

Her shoe in her hand. Looking
intently into it

She pulls out the paper insole
to find the nail

That has been hurting her

...........................

No shadow
No stars
No moon
No care
November
It only believes
In a pile of dead leaves
And a moon
That's the color of bone

No prayers for November
To linger longer
Stick your spoon in the wall
We'll slaughter them all

November has tied me
To an old dead tree
Get word to April
To rescue me
November's cold chain

Made of wet boots and rain
And shiny black ravens
On chimney smoke lanes
November seems odd
You're my firing squad
November

With my hair slicked back
With carrion shellac
With the blood from a pheasant
And the bone from a hare

Tied to the branches
Of a roebuck stag
Left to wave in the timber
Like a buck shot flag

Go away you rainsnout
Go away, blow your brains out
November

Καθαρό Μεσονύχτι - A Clear Midnight

..........................

This is thy hour O Soul, thy free flight into the wordless,
Away from books, away from art, the day erased,
the lesson done,
Thee fully forth emerging, silent, gazing, pondering the themes
thou lovest best,
Night, sleep, death and the stars.

........................................

You must have soul that is capable of three things: to endure, to love life, and sacrificing. Such soul you will never have, if you're pessimistic. The pessimist can not sacrifice his life, because life for him has no value and by having no value can only be "thrown away" and not be sacrificed. When a man offers something he loves, then he is sacrificed, but when he offers something that hates, then there's no sacrifice , but just ''throwing away''. (...)

...................

Morire come le allodole assetate
sul miraggio

O come la quaglia
passato il mare
nei primi cespugli
perche di volare
non ha piu voglia

Ma non vivere di lamento
come un cardellino accecato

Η Κακή Φωτιά - The Evil Fire

.........................

Don't Touch

Let this beautiful world being perpetuated
recycling tomorrow in its sources like
the time I was born, rising up every
morning, for the very first time, through
the rosy gauzes of its birth.
Erase the evil fire into the sun.
Don't you kill us!

Γύμνια - Nudity

Nudity

A man naked
On a rock hovering to infinity
sitting on his silky clothes
all alone
in the dawn
the century rising
the century leaving
and the naked man
all alone on earth
no god
no human
absence of nature
absence of the universe
just a naked man present
in the naked centuries
forever and ever.

 Small Tomb

Without a rifle and a sword, with the sun on your forehead
turned into both heroes and poets. You are the Poem.
Spreading my hand can't reach over there
to your beautiful shapes like flowers
in this litany of virtuous air. Oh, my young ones,
In front of this poem only silence counts.

.....................
Animals willing and flexible plants
pure dawns cuddly southern winds
combs of mystery rustlings of ghosts
and in between
cheerful people
of opulence and insobriety.

When they got out
they quickly  read the maps gropingly
raised patiently cities and jungles
and put their best clothes on :
What vibrant colours what coloured moods
and what flyings and flower blooms
austere auras and bodies like auras
everything and everyone ready for Sundays.
But in the same way
the seas towards the shores
they have started to move
at Mondays thinking of Tuesdays and Thursdays.

And now
what a costume mistake
what a trebling wind of sorrow
what naivety
what gullibility.

..................................

Più non muggisce, non sussurra il mare,
Il mare

Senza i sogni, incolore campo è il mare,
Il mare

Fa pietà anche il mare,
Il mare

Muovono nuvole riflesse il mare,
Il mare

A fumi tristi cedé il letto il mare,
Il mare

Morto è anche lui, vedi, il mare,
Il mare.

Μοναξιά Δεν Υπάρχει - No Solitude

There is no solitude where a man
digs or whistles or washes his hands.
There is no solitude where a tree
moves its leaves.Where a nameless
insect finds a flower and sits there,
where a brook mirrors a star, where a baby
while touching its mother's breast
sleeps with its happy tiny lips open,
there is no solitude at all.

In Memoriam

............................

Remarkable Simplicity

Drop after drop
Word after word
Τhe wild rose
Blooms
The time
Blooms
In its azurre colours
The red
The golden

And the day
Wears
A crown of orange flowers

Remarkable simplicity!
Sacred joy!

I am waiting for you
With my arms wide open

...................................

Over the hill I laid
pine tree needles for you
and on them I threw beams
of the sun and above it all
i put a smile for your body
not to be hurt.

And I asked time
not to wake you up.
Or better, to wake you up
as late as possible
because many times
things happen only once
even though days look the same
and the sun seems eternal.

Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict

Τον ξέρεις;

..............................

Aye an' a bit of Mackeral settler rack and ruin
ran it doon by the haim, 'ma place
well I slapped me and I slapped it doon in the side
and I cried, cried, cried.

The fear a fallen down taken never back the raize and then Craig Marion,
get out wi' ye Claymore out mi pocket a' ran doon, doon the middin stain
picking the fiery horde that was fallen around ma feet.
Never he cried, never shall it ye get me alive
ye rotten hound of the burnie crew. Well I snatched fer the blade O my
Claymore cut and thrust and I fell doon before him round his feet.

Aye! A roar he cried frae the bottom of his heart that I would nay fall
but as dead, dead as 'a can be by his feet; de ya ken?

...and the wind cried Mary.
Thank you.

.......................

December
And the sky returns
with only the frame
Of a mirror
Naked

December
And the sky returns
With a coffin floating
In its vastness
Devastated

December
And the sky returns
With a lyre of seven chords
And with all its silver
Changed

December
And the sky returns
With a manger
And a Christmas tree
Decorated.

............................
1. Ploumitsa

You waited to see me like the tree
moving from its flowers!...But,no!
It takes more sun light for you to bloom!

2. A Letter to the man from my country

Don't betray me!
And above all, don't tell him that hope has abandoned me!
As you stare at Taygetus, spot the canyons
I crossed. And the tops I have stepped on. And the stars
I have seen. Tell them on behalf of me, on behalf of my tears,
I still insist that the world
is beautiful!

3. Even if

And even if, in some place through
the blue corridors
I meet angels,
I will talk to them in Greek
for they don't speak any language.
They speak to each other with music.

Misfortunes Of Young Goethe - Τα Παθήματα Του Νεαρού Γκαίτε

..................................
Running up to reach my comet's white rose
I stumbled, fell and bled my nose.
Trying to climb up to the Olympus top
I unlearned to swim and walk the slope.

And instead of me rejoicing minor things
I was deaf by bell chimes and rings.
Submerged to the romantic sea bed
I even missed important shores to tread .

Now ,with my hands I'm fumbling
as the void in my face is rambling.
In my mirror I see Werther's face
(but as for the Trauma, not a trace)
