New York Mining Disaster 1941

Η Χιλιανή τηλεόραση μετέδωσε χθες το βράδυ τις πρώτες εικόνες της ομάδας των μεταλλωρύχων που έχουν παγιδευτεί σε ένα ορυχείο, δείχνοντάς τους οργανωμένους και χαλαρούς, να εξηγούν το πως έχουν οργανώσει τη ζωή τους σε βάθος 700 μέτρων κάτω από την επιφάνεια της γης. Σύμφωνα με τις αρχές, οι επιχειρήσεις διάσωσης των 33 ανδρών θα χρειαστούν από τρεις έως τέσσερις μήνες.

 (This was the first song to be released by the Bee Gees in America, and their first song to hit the charts.The song recounts the story of a miner trapped in a cave-in. He is sharing a photo of his wife with a colleague ("Mr. Jones") while they hopelessly wait to be rescued. According to the liner notes for their box-set this song was inspired by the 1966 mining disaster in Wales.)
