Συγκατοίκηση - Cohabitation

 

Μιά φυλακή εν κινήσει
το τρένο γιά τη γή της χαράς
ένας θεός, ως τώρα άγνωστος
μου υποσχέθηκε στο τέλος
πώς θα ραγίσει ο ορίζοντας,
ορίζοντας την τύχη
κι όχι τρέχοντας, να απο-
δράσω σαν λαγός
απο τα σύνορα της λύπης.
Ομως για να γίνει αυτό
έναν όρο μου έβαλε:
το σίδερο και το κάρβουνο
να συγκατοικήσουνε ξανά
στο ίδιο σπίτι.

A jail in motion

the train for the land of joy

one god, unknown till now

promised me in the end

that horizon will crack,

designating destiny

and not running away, 

escaping like a rabbit

from the frontiers of grief.

But in order to do this 

he asked for one condition:

the iron and the coal

to cohabitate once again

in the same home.
