Touched By An Angel

We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.

Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.

We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love's light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.

Τελειώνει; - Does It End?

A poem is never finished,
only abandoned.

Wake Me Up When September Ends

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last,
wake me up when September ends

Like my fathers come to pass
seven years has gone so fast,
wake me up when September ends

Here comes the rain again
falling from the stars
drenched in my pain again
becoming who we are

As my memory rests
but never forgets what I lost,
wake me up when September ends

Summer has come and passed
the innocent can never last,
wake me up when September ends

Ring out the bells again
like we did when spring began,
wake me up when September ends

Ένα Βλέμμα - A Glance

............................................................

You walked barefoot on the slate,
but your eyes
were green scarabs.
Slantingly you nodded,apologetically,
even though you had treasures hanging
down fresh hair.

Sea wove you in Love's weaver

and this explains your silky aura.
A poet would say you were born
inside the very soul of a pine-tree.
Don't believe that. But on the other hand,
Cosmos hides lots of mysteries.

All that matters, your incorruptible laugh.
The whole afternoon your laugh.
Whole life,

in just a picture,
even though a figment of fantasy:
The tide,coming and going away
from your azure fabric,
as ordered timidly
from the beauty of your youth.

She

She, may be the face I can't forget
The trace of pleasure or regret
May be my treasure or the price I have to pay
She may be the song the summer sings
May be the chill the autumn brings
May be a hundred different things
Within the measure of a day

She, may be the beauty or the beast
May be the famine or the feast
May turn each day into a heaven or a hell
She may be the mirror of my dreams
The smile reflected in a stream
She may not be what she may seem inside her shell

She, who always seems so happy in a crowd
Whose eyes can be so crowded and so proud
No one's allowed to see them when they cry
She may be the love that cannot hope to last
May come to me from shadows of the past
But I'll remember till the day I die

She, may be the reason I survive
The why and wherefore I'm alive
The one I'll care for through the rough in many years
Me, I'll take her laughter and her tears
And make them all my souvenirs
For where she goes I've got to be
The meaning of my life is she
She...

..............................................................................

Who learned the pathways of the hours, and who stepped upon them under his heels,as I did? Ever since I had left,I took the road by the Corinthian coast, treading on pebbles and thistles, second by second, but when I reached the sand, blood was running from my feet and painted them red, like the "foot of God", that I had lost in waves, so many years from now...
What was I searching in waves,I really don't know. And my blood was leaving, I think that's why my veins had been empty,so I forgot the time and waited for a sign to appear, and thus my existence to be full again, full of expectation that my job isn't finished, and the vow of the "Light-shadowed", some day will be fulfilled...

Επίκληση Στήν Θάλασσα - Invocation To The Sea

................................................................

Back to the mother of life
The sparkling of the sea
is the youth of azure,
of green,
of the eternal forever,
the amethyst of dreams.

Don't become calm
don't ever cease wrapping me.
I'll be here to call you
with open arms,
with wet eyes,
blue for you-red for me,
your blood-my blood.

Said I Loved You But I Lied...

You are the candle, love's the flame
A fire that burns through wind and rain
Shine your light on this heart of mine
Till the end of time
You came to me like the dawn through the night
Just shinin' like the sun
Out of my dreams and into my life
You are the one, you are the one

Said I loved you but I lied
'Cause this is more than love I feel inside

Said I loved you but I was wrong
'Cause love could never ever feel so strong
Said I loved you but I lied

With all my soul I've tried in vain
How can mere words my heart explain
This taste of heaven so deep so true
I've found in you
So many reasons in so many ways
My life has just begun
Need you forever, I need you to stay
You are the one, you are the one

Νύχτα - Night

..... ....... .... ...... ......

Night./From the window we threw away our keys/ Took the stars./We're opening.//
And branches/and ship masts/and the anchor./And You in the garden/by the statue.//Beautiful day-/can't stand you/not being here.//Blood is the evening/blood is the night/blood are the roses/You are - my blood.
