Καί ποιές λέξεις,
Να ζυγώσουν τα μάτια σου
δίχως να κοπούν στα δυό,
Να αρμενίσουν τα μαλλιά σου
δίχως να θαλασσοπνιγούν,
Άν ήσουνα εκεί να σε κοιτώ
πέταλα αγριοτριανταφυλλιάς
θα ανάδυε η γλώσσα μου,
παρφούμα θα οσμίζαν γιασεμιού
τα κατωσέντονα των ξυπνητών μου.
Δώμα λυγμών,
Μαγιού ανάσα γύρω μου,καί-
Πόσο ν'αντεξει η έρημος βροχή
Πόσο ουρανός στεγνός τη νότη της αυγής;

Στην μαρίνα οκλαδόν
Είπα στό μέτωπο να σου αφήσω μιά σκιά,
Οι λέξεις ορφανά παιδιά ξυπόλυτα που τρέχουν
λογίζοντας τα χρόνια που ποτέ
δεν θα ξαναγυρίσουνε τα κύματα
στού ορίζοντα τη σπάταλη αορτή, κι' όμως
Φωνές απόμερες αληθινές σού γράφω,
στού σανιδιού τη ζέστα καί στ' αγέρι,δές:
Ένα, στά ματοτσίνορα να πάλλει λάμψεις
Δυό, στα παραθυρόφυλλα φιλιά να τρίζουν
Όσο να σηκωθώ που η γής θα ησυχάζει,
Αμνός εγώ,στο λυκαυγές μου θα προσμένω

What poem,
And what words
To sidle over to your eyes
Without being cut up in two,
To sail through your hair
Without being sea drown,
If you were there to stare at you
Wild roses' petals
My tongue would be emerging,
Jasmine perfumes
My waking bed sheets would be smelling.
A room of sobs,
A breath of May around me and-
How much rain desert can stand
How much morning moisture dry skies can?
One poem at least.

Sitting down on my hunkers,
I thought I'd leave a shadow on your forehead.
Words are orphan kids running barefoot,
Thinking of the years where
Waves never will come back to
Horizon's wasteful Aorta, and yet
Voices remote but real I'm writing to you,
On the board's warmth and the wind, look:
One, in the eyelids to quivering shines,
Two, in the window blinds to creaking kisses
As soon as I wake up in a land getting quiet,
A lamb is me on my glimmer of dawn, expecting for
